My journey into designing assistive technology for people with disability began with TOM Tikkun Olam Makers makeathones where designers, engineers, clinicians, and many other professionalises meet the needs of a disabled person.
June 2014, 8 years ago, while I am in the second year of my Industrial design bachelor's degree, I started to ask myself "what do I want to design" after I graduate. Suddenly, my friend asked me to join the first TOM Tikkun Olam Makers makeathone, since then I know "why I design".
Assistive technology is not a "desirable" field of design, but my journey into assistive technology is more than exciting and it is all about, human-centered design, empathy, advanced technologies, inclusive design, and humanity.
